What can you tell us about your show? What is it about, and where did the idea come from?
This is not just a show; it is about an important cause that raises awareness of politics, social inequality, vulnerable children, and trauma. The idea came from our belief that art has the power to educate and inspire change. The piece is based on the true story of a serial killer who has been incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital for over 30 years. It is not intended to glorify any of his actions; rather, it is a story of self-reflection, understanding, and the circumstances that shape human behavior. It is an experimental theatrical experience.
How would you sell it to audiences in one paragraph?
One actor plays both the killer and the psychiatrist in this gripping experimental production based on the true story of the Vampire of Rio. Through a powerful psychological confrontation, the show explores trauma, social inequality, and the human capacity for both destruction and understanding, challenging audiences to look beyond the headlines and reflect on the deeper issues beneath the story.

This will be my first time participating in the Fringe, so I am incredibly excited to be part of it. I am looking forward to experiencing the unique atmosphere and the incredible energy that surrounds Edinburgh during the festival.
What are you looking forward to most in Edinburgh?
I am looking forward to experiencing everything the world’s largest Fringe Festival has to offer, from its rich cultural diversity to the opportunity to receive feedback from audiences from all over the world. They will be engaging with a sensitive story that carries a powerful and important message beneath the surface.
What’s next for the show?
After the Fringe, we will embark on a 60-day tour in Rio this October.
