What’s the show about, and where did the idea come from?
Phuckets and Rainbows is my story. A show about what happens when you stop trying to be who you think you “should” be and start embracing who you actually are. Complex and tricky… but so necessary.
It’s a beautiful mix of storytelling, comedy, music and a few unexpected emotional punches! It explores some of the key moments in my life. From my first job, to motherhood, and how it felt to be me along the way. The masking, shame, self-doubt, joy, body loathing, neurodiversity… and ultimately what it feels like to rediscover who you could be, if the world had never told you you couldn’t.
The idea came from my own dance with anxiety, and the constant drive to prove I was worth something! Realising that so much of my life had been spent trying to fit into boxes that were never designed for me.
I wanted to create something that made people laugh, feel seen, and maybe walk away a little taller. A little more possible than they imagined.

Phuckets and Rainbows is a hilarious, heartfelt ride through the messy, magical rollercoaster of life, where shame meets sparkle, doubt meets swearwords, tears meet laughter, and ordinary moments become extraordinary. Come for the comedy, stay for the feeling that maybe you’re not alone after all, and maybe you are more than you imagined!
Do you enjoy participating in the Fringe, and what are you most excited about?
I’m so excited to be part of the Fringe. There is something incredibly special about the thought of sharing the energy of a zillion creative and curious souls all in one place. I’ve never been before! So it is part Phucket (Fear), and part Rainbow (Hope)
I’m looking forward to experiencing the city for the first time, soaking up the atmosphere, seeing the incredible architecture. Finding Arthur’s Seat and reliving One Day!
But more than anything, I think I’m looking forward to that quiet moment of realising… “I’m actually here.” This dream of becoming a storyteller, of sharing my own story on a stage, has come true. In a way… I never thought could be.
What’s next for the show?
The dream is to keep sharing Phuckets and Rainbows with as many people as possible. I’d love to reach more humans with a story that simply wants people to see how remarkable they are… even in their ordinariness! Because it’s extraordinary really… that we are here at all.
