I asked Sarah to tell us more about the show.

What inspired the creation of Slut Confessions, and has it evolved while it has been on the festival circuit?
Slut Confessions started as a reaction to the world around us.
It was drawn from our own experiences, the experiences of the women we interviewed for the project, and the constant news cycles involving misogyny and violence against women.
The stories that we have all heard and told a thousand times but never get told. The play is a living and breathing thing, so it’s constantly evolving, as we’re inspired and propelled by new discoveries and conversations as a company.
Why should audiences come along to the show, and what might they expect?
If you’re looking for a bold and unapologetically candid portrayal of womanhood, this play is for you. Even if you’re not, this play is also for you.
Expect to laugh, cry, and gasp all in the same breath. The show is full of hard truths, witty dialogue, and captivating secrets.
Do you find fringe festivals inspiring?
Fringe festivals are incredibly inspiring for us as artists. Having previously performed the show at the Brighton Fringe, we really thrived on the sense of ownership we felt over the play.
Being able to connect with other emerging companies and artists is extremely fulfilling for us as a rising company. There’s a real grassroots feel and special energy that you get with fringe.
What’s next for the show?
We’re looking into some more show dates for 2026 across London and the rest of the UK. Getting the show out to more audiences is definitely a priority for us.
It’s a really exciting time for the company as we’re growing and developing the play together. We’ve also got some other exciting projects in the pipeline that we can’t wait to share, so keep an eye on our socials for those!
