Promotional review for 26.2 Reasons To Stay Alive

I asked Laura to tell us more!

What should audiences expect from the show?

A high energy performance in both the spectacle of a show being performed from a treadmill but also in the story being told.

I sincerely hope the audiences leave with a totally fresh perspective to the Marathon, whether that be inspired to run one, or solidified in their position of never, ever, running!

What’s the best thing about being included in FreshFest?

FreshFest is a great opportunity to find an audience for new writing with the support of other writers and production companies.

It’s been such an affordable way to stage a show properly in a fantastic venue.

What inspired you to write the show?

I was inspired to write the show after my experience running the London Marathon in 2022.

It was such a transformative day and as a person who lives with a chronic illness, I wanted to tell the story of how healing and restorative running can be for your physical and mental health.

And what’s next?

What’s next – a great question! We are hoping to give 26.2 Reasons To Stay Alive a bigger audience this summer, either with a fringe run in Edinburgh or London, and further spread the running agenda.
