@jeezus.uk is an irreverent, naughty, and blasphemous musical - but is also reflective about matters of racism, homophonia and religion.
I enjoyed Two Halves of Guinness - quite apart from stout being a rather yummy beverage back in the day, this loving and empathetic tribute to Alec Guinness from Mark Burgess, Zeb Stone and Selina Cadell is a stellar show.
The five guys (not the burger place) who make up @weredbiscuit have brought their own brand of physical theatre silliness to the stage - they finish at @camdenpeoplestheatre but catch them in early May at @brightonfringe!
2nd show of the day finds me at @newdiorama for Jeezus, a "queer Latinx musical". A show that runs a very specific 69 minutes.
Exceptional work and a bravura performance by Joe Mallalieu in his own play, RUM, which stopped off in London as part of its tour.
I have my cheap ticket for this already, wondering how this ultra macho show set in the cut-throat business world, will translate with an all-female cast.
