Now in its 2nd year, the LSF boasts a brilliant line-up of concerts, screenings, talks and masterclasses. It begins with an epic opening gala concert at the Barbican, featuring music from headliner David Arnold alongside music from Enola Holmes, Atonement, All Creatures Great and Small, First Dates, Thunderbirds and more.
Other events include an official Downtown Abbey concert, with music across the entire franchise; live performances and a Q&A from Rachel Portman, the first female composer to win the Oscar for Best Original Score; and a recital with the Tippett Quartet, playing rarely performed chamber works by Bernard Hermann and Christopher Gurning.
[We] celebrate the capital’s unique contribution to soundtrack music – from great composers scoring for blockbusters and the small screen, to the unsung heroes who perform in the recording studios.
Michael Beck, Director of the LSF
The LSF celebrates London’s unique place at the heart of soundtrack music – both the composers who write it and the unsung heroes who bring it to life – and the 2026 edition is hosted by some of the capital’s most iconic venues, including the Barbican, Cadogan Hall and Westminster Central Hall.
From Psycho to Poirot, Good Omens to Godzilla, James Bond to Indiana Jones, all your favourites are covered – and the concerts are supplemented by a programme of screenings including Brian de Palma’s Obsession (1976), Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) and Emma (1996).
