Today’s report from the cheaper seat options in London’s West End and beyond visits the revival of The Producers on a discounted ticket,
Show and venue:
The Producers at Garrick Theatre
Seat:
Stalls S17 – 47% off full price, I paid £40 (through See It Live promotion)
Expectation:
I wasn’t sure. The seat was towards the back of the auditorium. I hoped for a good rake and decent legroom.
Reality:
An excellent seat at this price – perhaps even at over £70 given London price inflation in stalls allocation.
There was no seat in front of me so no problem for legroom or sightline.
Due to the Circle overhang I couldn’t see the very top of the set but as you can see in the photos below this does not affect the view of the action in any way.
How I felt:
Absolutely fine. No uncomfortable cramping or trying to see around a head in front!
Evidence:
This is my photo from the curtain call – you can see that the important areas of the stage are perfectly visible.

The following photo is a still from Richard Orr’s YouTube capture of the curtain call and is shown here for illustrative purposes – you can see the top of the set and the lights on the side that I couldn’t.
