Linus Karp tells us more about The Fit Prince.

Congratulations on your marriage this summer – how have things been since Edinburgh?

It’s been great! We are just coming off a six-week run of Gwyneth Goes Skiing in New York.

It’s been a dream come true to do a run like that off-Broadway and we’re beyond thrilled to see how well the show was received – we’re glad the people of NYC also enjoy being gay and stupid.

Now we are gearing up for a fit run of Fit Prince and we can’t wait!

Tell me about The Fit Prince (Who Gets Switched On The Square In The Frosty Castle The Night Before [Insert Public Holiday Here]). What should we expect and will it be as fun as Diana and How to live a jellicle life?

Baker Aaron Butcher (Joseph Martin) travels to Swedonia to bake a cake for the wedding of Prince Elian (that’s me!).

However, Elian doesn’t yet have anyone to marry, and if he doesn’t find a partner before Christmas Eve, the realm will fall…

Having people calling it our best work yet and receiving praise from both Vogue and New York Times feels very special. I do think it’s our most accomplished show to date.

We have taken what we love from our previous shows – the audience participation, the puppetry, the multimedia, the camp pop numbers – and pushed them way further.

Every show becomes unique and we have so much fun doing it.

You’re now known for your wildly popular and bonkers shows and have something of a cult following. What could possibly be next?

Hopefully we’ll manage to surprise you. Whilst still keeping it very queer obviously.

And just for fun, what’s your perfect holiday moment?

Coming in after playing in the snow and watching a perfect Christmas movie – like Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square, or A Castle for Christmas, or The Christmas Prince, or Princess Switch, or A Knight Before Christmas, or Hot Frosty
